We are here with an update about fulfillment and more digital goodies that we’re sending your way!
Fulfillment Continues!
For those of you yet to receive your physical issues, we took a break over the holidays (so, you know, our mums wouldn’t feed us more judgement than cranberry sauce), but we are back to it now! We will continue working through the pledge tiers methodically, sending out all your bundles of literary joy. Our next batch will be focused on fulfilling any pledge tiers that included a subscription. Once your package is posted, you will receive an email with a tracking number, so that you can keep an eye on your shiny books as they wind their way toward you. Then, all the Mix-it-Up and Printastic tiers will get shoved out that door shortly after that!

In the meantime, to keep your literary appetite satisfied, we have put together the five digital story packs that YOU all earned by helping us to hit each and every one of our stretch goals!
Collections spanning editorial labors of love as well as sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and comics will be sent out today. You will shortly receive an email from BackerKit containing a link to a digital download for each collection that your pledge made you eligible for. Digital Issue Download—Tech Issue Resolved!

Hello lovely backers!
We are popping back into your inboxes on this merry Christmas eve for the quickest of updates. A few of you flagged that you had issues with the digital issue download links sent out on Tuesday to those backers whose pledge tier included a digital download or who purchased a digital issue add-on.
We’ve been beavering away with BackerKit to get this tech issue sorted and we’re happy to say that a few minutes ago you should have received another email with a new link that should now work. Apologies for the inconvenience and enjoy these luscious literary treats!

Holiday Gifts & Digital Treats!

Hello lovely backers!
We are popping back into your inboxes with another update, so grab a coffee/tea/G&T/mince pie and dig in!
F(r)iction #17 Mayhem… and Holiday Tier Backers
Firstly, the bad news: the port that our US shipment of F(r)iction #17 was stuck at for weeks (oh the joys of COVID) unexpectedly entirely shut down… But the GOOD NEWS: our shipment miraculously got through the DAY BEFORE IT CLOSED!
This means that just yesterday, we were able to get our excited mitts on these beautiful shiny books. As we now only have three days until Brink closes for the holiday period, we have prioritized sending out rewards to anyone who backed us at the holiday tier. If this was you, you can expect to receive an email with tracking information within the next two days.
Please Note: We can only fit four print issues in each envelope, so if you are a holiday tier backer and added several print issues to your order (thanks for all the love, by the way!), you will receive multiple tracking numbers.
Please Also Note: We will be sending out the complimentary free print issue that we’re adding to all subscription orders after all the holiday madness. So when you receive your packages and they are lacking one issue, never fear! We haven’t forgotten our promise of some extra story goodness, we’re just making sure we have got all our ducks in a row at each and every stage of the fulfillment process.
All Other Orders with Physical Items
This port delay caused by COVID has set us back a few weeks, but now that we have the books in our hands, rest assured that we will be prioritizing sending them your way as soon as we are back to work in January. We’ll keep you in the loop with updates but to make the wait a wee bit easier, we are sending some digital goodness your way!...
Digital Downloads
…For anyone whose pledge tier included a digital download or who purchased a digital issue add-on (either through Kickstarter during the campaign or through BackerKit during the survey process), you will receive a link by the end of today allowing you to download the relevant PDF file. So even though some of you will need to wait just that bit longer for your physical books, we’re sending you our very best, festive holiday cheer in the form of these digital feasts.

Locking your shipping address!

Hello lovely backers!
This is it! We’ve locked all your survey info and the order details have come through to us—which means we’re prepping to ship! And THAT means pretty soon you’ll have your glimmering F(r)iction goodness to adore and admire. Oooo la la!
We will therefore be locking shipping addresses tomorrow morning. That means you have 24 hours from now to update your shipping address in your BackerKit survey.
If you need to review your shipping address, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at friction.backerkit.com.
If you haven’t answered your survey yet, you can still fill it out to get your rewards, but your shipment may be delayed.
For all holiday tiers, we’ll start shipping rewards out this week, because we’re speedy like that AND we want to help your covert gift-giving operations! If you need to change your shipping address, please make the changes in your BackerKit survey in the next 24 hours.
Please note: due to delays caused by COVID (causing major staff issues at ports) our shipment of F(r)iction #17 is now more than 6 weeks delayed. We will therefore be sending all holiday tier rewards out minus this issue (but including the promised F(r)iction #16 and holiday card) unless the shipment miraculously arrives in the next 36 hours! But never fear, as soon as we have our hands on those shiny pink books, we will be whizzing them your way.
You know what they say... “One is happiest when one reads F(r)iction.” Don’t ask who “they” are, just know that it’s true!

Survey deadline reminder!

Hello lovely backers!
We’re just popping in with a quick reminder that Monday 14th December (i.e. in just 3 days!) is the last day to make any final updates to your order!
Even if you pledged for “no reward” during the campaign, please complete this very short survey—it helps us to make sure that we have got everyone’s orders and details correctly sorted at our end.
After this date, we will lock your reward selections and charge your credit cards for any add-on item purchases you may have made. Please make sure that you have the correct card information on file. If any issues arise with your payment, you’ll receive an email letting you know how to correct your payment information.
Please note that if you fill out your BackerKit survey or pay for extra shipping after the November 14th deadline, we’ll still receive your information but your shipment may be delayed. So don’t be late to book club, get your shiny books!
